Parts1Stop.com offers ease-of-use and peace-of-mind

In March, Marathon parts customers gained access to the newly redesigned www.Parts1Stop.com Web site.

Marathon Web site designer, Rick Hocutt, explains how customers are benefiting from using the revamped site. “Parts1Stop.com has a completely fresh look, but more importantly, the process of ordering parts has been improved dramatically. Customers are able to perform a dynamic search to find the parts they need using a description, part name or model number, add it to their parts shopping cart, and submit their order or request a quote with just a few clicks of the mouse. Customers are also enjoying the new convenience of accessing their order history and tracking UPS shipments.”

“Creating an easy-to-navigate, quick-to-order process was our goal. Our aim is that the site will offer our customers’ a new level of service by eliminating time-consuming phone calls and guesswork when searching for replacement parts.”

SPOTLIGHT ON SERVICE

A step in the right direction

Greenbuilt Power UnitMarathon has recently taken a step towards cleaner, more efficient and environmentally friendly waste handling equipment. The new GreenBuilt™ series by Marathon not only provides benefits for the end-user, but service companies as well.

One option offered by the GreenBuilt™ series is a submerged 5HP, 11GPM Hi-Lo power unit. This power unit offers the same cycle time, maximum force, ram face PSI and compaction as the 10HP power unit normally associated with self-contained units, but utilizes 50% less energy.

Because the unit is completely submerged, far fewer components are exposed to the risk of damage. The only exposed items are the two hydraulic hoses that run from the unit to the cylinders in the compactor or baler. These hoses still feature quick disconnects for easy removal.

The hydraulic fluid itself is a biodegradable vegetable-based fluid. Not only is it more environmentally friendly, but it is much less irritating to exposed skin and safer for a service technician to handle.

The new GreenBuilt™ submerged power unit features a programmable controller, allowing service technicians to change the program easily to accommodate different options such as advance warning, oil heaters, etc. The technician is also able to easily make adjustments to the number of cycles and other settings. No relays will have to be added or removed and no manual timer settings are necessary. This also means that there are fewer parts that could potentially fail over the life of the unit!

Not only has Marathon provided an environmentally friendly choice to the waste handling market, it has provided service technicians with a more manageable and user-friendly solution.

The Prospector™ adds luster to NEXGEN ISRI booth

See the Prospector at ISRIAttendees of ISRI 2007 were treated to a demonstration of the newest addition to NEXGEN’s line of scrap processing and recycling equipment, the Prospector™ Wire Processor. The Prospector™ efficiently and effectively reclaims copper and aluminum from scrap electrical wire. Wire enters the granulation chamber through a hopper where the system grinds the wire using three rotating and two stationary knives. The chopped material then travels to a separation chamber via the enclosed air-flow system. In the separation chamber, the copper and aluminum is dry-separated from its plastic, PVC, or other insulation for clean, high-value #1 chops.

ISRI attendees were given the opportunity to see the separation process first-hand through a booth demonstration. Equipped with a dust collection system and fully soundproofed, the Prospector™ adds no dust and minimal sound to its environment. Each unit is easy to move and install, is easily maintained, and has low power requirements. Choose from four models: WP 200, WP 400, WP 800, and WP 1600 for production rates up to 2200 lbs/Hr.
