Pellitteri Waste hosts IHA meeting
The Independent Haulers Association is comprised of approximately 50 Independent Haulers from across the U.S. The IHA gathers annually at sites throughout the country with a different hauler playing host each year. Highlighted by a dinner cruise on Lake Mendota, the 2006 meeting was very well attended and numerous issues confronting independent haulers in today’s waste and recycling industry were discussed. The meeting’s host, owner/president Tom Pellitteri of Pellitteri Waste Systems (Madison, Wis.,) asked Marathon to present to the IHA audience. "For more than 20 years our association with Marathon has always been based on the professionalism and service exhibited company–wide. We couldn’t ask for more," commented Pellitteri. Marathon Regional Sales Manager, Darrell Ruh and District Sales Manager, Gary Brooks, attended on Marathon’s behalf and presented material on Marathon’s RAMJET and NEXGEN lines of equipment.
Pellitteri Waste Systems utilized their yard to demonstrate equipment such as hook hoists, onboard shredding services, and compaction equipment and to introduce attendees to computerized route tracking programs. The attendees also visited the sites of Pellitteri Waste accounts in the Madison area and observed some of Marathon’s RAMJET products including 30–yard self–contained compactors, cart tippers, and five–yard pre–crushers equipped with cart dumpers.
